From Bruno:  Just returned from nine days on the farm with my Foster mom and sister. The country life is for me - oh my goodness - we had so much fun.  Of course, farm life isn't easy and certainly not for everyone, however, I enjoyed every minute.  I had to get up early and walk to the pasture to feed the horse (see my picture).  After that, we hopped into the truck and went to the other farm to do more work  - had to check out the corn fields, trim trees, mow stuff down (more pictures & video).  I'm exhausted from all those farm chores. It was nine days with lots of cats, another dog and one horse...pure bliss - I spent it all off-leash! 

8/6/2017:  Bruno is doing very well with other dogs while he continues his dog walks on Sunday mornings and his visits to the Shirlington Dog Park. He still walks on leash in the park, however, he is less reactive to other dogs.  He is off leash when playing in the water – which he loves to splash around in.  Bruno also just concluded ten days with a dogsitter who has a resident cat. He passed his cat test with flying colors!!  The cat explained who ran the house, and Bruno accepted the terms and behaved like a gentleman.  He’s eager to meet the right family to adopt as his own!

Jun 6 update:  Today was another big step in Bruno’s progress - we had a great day at the Arlington dog park. We strolled from one end to the other three times, then sat and let the other puppies stroll by to say “hello.” He remained on-leash except when we played in the creek (see video). He was non-reactive to most of the other dogs, although there were a few with whome he wasn’t sure how to properly interact. He continues with his group walks and accompanies my female GSD at her non-competative agility classes. 

FYI - He turned a lot of heads at the park today...he's a real chamer, and the humans coulnd't help but pet him!  

5/8/2017 Update.  Bruno and I (with my GSD) have been working diligently on his behavior around other dogs. We participate in group dog walks and he’s making great progress. He has had a play date with another GSD – they did well at open play; quickly returning to me when called. To aid in his on-leash manners, I’ve started using a Halti – he’s learning to accept that he must wear it if he wishes to go for a walk. He is a very happy, joyful, little boy (82 lbs).  Nothing gets him down, except not going for a walk.

3/31/17  Hi, everyone, I’m Bruno. If you are looking for someone to snuggle with, I’m the guy for you! I love being wherever you are, whether that’s lounging in the house, relaxing on the deck, or walking short trails in the park. My absolute favorite things are riding in the car and playing with my ball (see photo). Also, you should know I get somewhat vocal when I’m excited about playing, going somewhere, or when just being silly. I will admit, I could use some training on manners and etiquette - I’m very intelligent, a quick study and eager to learn new things. I have a sensitive tummy, however, if I stay on my simple diet, I don’t have any problems.

******Bruno is a very happy, sweet boy, just looking for his own person (or two). He does well on a leash and knows basic commands; he needs to continue with obedience training. He crates well, is very good about letting you know when he needs to go outside.  He is also quite a conversationalist when encouraged.
