Huckleberry #5120 (or “Huck”) is a 2-year old German Shepherd/Lab mix – our best guess based on his appearance and behavior. He’s one of the sweetest and most snuggly dogs we’ve seen. Huck wants nothing more than to cozy up and put his head in your lap for some affection. He loves everyone he meets.

Huck is a quick learner who is eager to please and very smart. He loves catching a ball, and will bring it back and deposit it at your feet. He adapted well to crate training. 

Huck is young and energetic, and will need someone who can offer him plenty of activity. Like many young Shepherds, he can be pushy in his enthusiasm, so he should have a household where his owners will provide lots of training and guidance. 

Huck has done well with other dogs. He also did well when introduced to children. We're not sure about cats, but because he loves to chase a ball so much, I'd be cautious with anything that might run away from him. 

This guy is very affectionate and will make a terrific companion.
