Berkeley is the perfect dog. She is polite, gentle and very loyal to her person. She was found at a 711 in West Virginia and was never claimed as a stray at the shelter. By her kind demeanor and perfect manners she must have been someone's special dog. She sits when asked, walks beautifully on a leash, and is completely house trained. She gets along perfectly with other animals including cats, small and large dogs, birds, poultry and she has shown no prey drive whatsoever. She is also great with children. Berkeley has a shorter sleek coat making it easier to manage when groomed. She also stands perfectly for a bath and to have her nails trimmed. I have not had her off leash yet but I imagine she will perfect at that too. She is athletic and would be a good jogging or hiking partner but overall is a mellow dog that will quietly lie next to your bed while you sleep. She is a vocal dog and will bark when someone comes to the door. She also whimpers when she wants attention and will howl for a few minutes when left alone in the house (so far that is her only flaw). Her age is estimated to be around 8 years. .
