We are so excited to introduce Nikki!  This sweet senior came to VGSR through no fault of her own, yet has nothing but joy and love to share with every human and dog she meets!  Nikki is nearly 10-years old, but still has a lot of get up and go!  She is affectionate, loves her long walks, and spending time outside with her foster brother.  Nikki has wonderful manners, and is very easy to have in the home.  She is house broken, does not counter surf, shows no food aggression (but loves to eat!), and knows basic commands.  She walks nicely on a leash, loves riding in the car and is a very quick learner.  It only took two tries to teach her to stay at the top of the stairs until her humans were safely at the bottom.  She is crate trained and will quietly stay in there, but she really doesn’t need it.  She isn’t destructive or overly curious.  Nikki came from a home with small children and we are told she did very well with them.  It is no surprise, as she has an overall gentle and kind demeanor.  She doesn’t bark much, but will give one or two alerts that the FedEx truck is here.  What a thoughtful girl!  She really loves being with her people, even if that means simply sitting quietly at your feet.  If she can get a head scratch and belly rub, she’ll light up the room with her 1,000 watt smile!  Nikki will thrive with a family that has someone home most of the day.  She doesn’t need much other than regular potty walks, a comfy bed and some companionship.  She has seasonal allergies and could use a good dental cleaning, but overall healthy.  This angel has so much to offer.  Please email her foster @ 2rescue4us@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting Nikki.
