Meet Spice, a 6-month-old German Shepherd with an inspiring spirit! Known lovingly as “Spice Girl” or “Spicy,” she came to the rescue timid and wary of people, needing time to decompress and find her comfort zone. Since then, Spice has blossomed into a sweet, playful, and adventurous pup who’s discovering the joys of being a dog.

Affectionate and a little goofy, Spice loves engaging with people once she feels safe. She’s progressing well with potty training and is almost fully housebroken. While she’s still adjusting to the leash and might resist it initially, with more exposure, she’ll continue to improve. Due to her tendency to bolt when startled, Spice needs a securely fenced yard for her safety.

Spice would thrive in a home with another dog to learn from, or with a family dedicated to helping her grow. She isn’t suited to spending long periods alone and would be happiest with people around to support her in this journey.
